Crested Pigeons (Ocyphaps lophotes) form strong pair bonds throughout and beyond breeding seasons. They share incubation and feeding of chicks, and both defend their shared territory. In non-breeding seasons, they live in a flock while maintaining a close pair bond. They even enjoy taking a siesta together.
